Dot. Dot., a Unity3d game developed during my free time in school, was my first attempt at actually releasing a game on the AppStore. Drawing inspiration from the popular game Piano Tiles, Dot. Dot. is a fast-paced, reflex-testing dexterity game designed to challenge players’ hand-eye coordination. The game features a sleek, minimalist aesthetic and offers a variety of game modes and difficulty levels to keep players engaged.

Game Modes

Dot. Dot. offers players a variety of modes to test their reflexes:

  1. Countdown: A race against time to tap a set number of dots.
  2. Shrink: Dots diminish in size; players must tap them before they disappear.
  3. Timer: A fast-paced challenge to tap as many dots as possible within a time limit.

Each game mode comes with three levels of difficulty — easy, medium, and hard — to challenge players of all skill levels.

Why Unpublished?

The game underwent the full development cycle, from initial concept to a polished, AppStore-ready product featuring GameCenter integration and a dedicated WordPress homepage for support. However, it remained unpublished. As a young developer, I recognized the game’s limitations in fun factor and faced age-related constraints for AppStore submissions, which probably could have been mitigated in hindsight. Nevertheless, Dot. Dot. was a valuable learning experience that helped me grow as a developer.
